Rejection
February 18, 2010 Have you ever thought, someone was so beautiful that you loved so much?
All you could think about was seeing them, and feeling their tender touch?
And when they smiled at you, there was such a warm feeling in your heart.
You couldn’t bear the thought of separation, or ever being apart
You loved them for this special feeling and joy that they gave to you
You wanted their joys to be many, and their sorrows to be few
When they were sad you were sad, and when they were glad you were glad too
You had a strong feeling for them, you wondered if they could feel it for you
You could feel so much love inside of you that you fell into loves bliss
And you dreamed of your beloved, and your loves tender loving kiss
Yes you have fallen into your desires, as if you had fallen into an abyss
Trying not to be captured by lust, yet transformed by loves metamorphosis
You know that love has spoken to you, but now you live in fear
What if love does not say to our beloved what we want them to hear?
Then all the laughter, we shared, would be replaced by our sad tears
Left only with the memories of a love we thought could last for years
But you overcome your fear, and you ask to meet on a certain date
Only to be rejected by your beloved. You wonder did you wait too late
They are seeing someone else; someone who was there first
All you can do is stand there. your heart feels like it could burst
Your dreams are shattered. You are left only with an awful pain
The pain of rejection is hard to describe, very hard to explain
An emotional pain that is so intense that for most is just too hard to bear
Most of us have to accept the evil of anger to avoid the evil of despair
If this has never happened to you that’s good, but it happened to me
It was a learning experience. It showed me how painful it can be,
To be rejected by your beloved, but it also taught me to see
When I choose to sin, I reject my Savior to a certain degree
I thought of the words of a poem, words of someone else I used to love
If you’re lost, lonely or in trouble, as I was don’t go deeper just look above
His love was reaching her even when she didn’t understand
All she had to do was believe, and take hold of His hand
